George Toursoulopoulos is looking out of the window, watching a man unloading heavy bottles of water from a van in the street outside. “Look at how hard that guy is working,” he says. “Wouldn’t it be great if there was a way to do that job more efficiently?”
But, faced with deadlines, the need to get the job done, and the pressure of the everyday, chances are no-one will ever have time to think of a better way, observes the founder of bespoke software development agency Synetec. He’s been mulling over the old conflict between creative, out-of-the-box thinking and what has to be done in the here and now.
