The management buyout was handled by Kevin Sullivan with assistance from Noel Barratt on real property aspects.
Kevin acted for a newly incorporated company formed by the existing managers of Fluorel Limited to acquire the company, a manufacturer of fluorescent lighting products, which, since establishing in 1946, has embraced technological advances and has become a leading lighting and luminaire provider in local authority, health and education sectors, especially in London and the Home Counties. The managers have worked and have run the company, which trades as Fluorel Lighting, for many years.
Kevin commented: “I helped the managers with the necessary sale and purchase documentation in their buyout of a trading subsidiary of an existing holding company. They had managed the company for over 25 years which made the transaction very simple and the deal completed relatively quickly.”
