Tim Ryan is a criminal and regulatory defence specialist, who acts for privately-paying clients facing allegations from the minor to the very serious, and provides them all with the same high level of service and commitment.
Tim conducts a broad range of criminal and regulatory work, and has particular expertise in wildlife, firearms, animal welfare, environmental offences, farming and country sports. As well advising and representing those under investigation or facing prosecution, he also acts in firearms licensing appeals. He covers cases throughout England and Wales.
Tim was called to the bar in 1991 and spent his first 15 years in practice as a barrister. He is dual qualified and has practised as a solicitor since 2006. He is a Higher Court Advocate and frequently appears in the Crown Court.
Tim has written articles for publications such as Gun Trade News, The Shooting Gazette, The Field, Farmers Weekly, Farm Law , the Agricultural Law Association magazine and the Solicitors Journal and is the author for Westlaw Insight on the laws relating to Birds of Prey. Tim is also frequently invited to speak on rural issues.
