Cate is a solicitor in the family team, based in the Sevenoaks office. Cate was admitted as a solicitor in 1993. She read Law at the Birmingham University before finishing her Law Society Finals with a Distinction in London. Before joining Warners Cate worked in City Law firms Lawrence Graham and Stephenson Harwood specialising in commercial litigation.
Cate’s experience includes those where assets are modest as well as those involving significant assets involving pensions and holdings in company assets. Cate has particular interest in cases involving multi jurisdictional issues, including financial provision after an overseas divorce, domicile of origin and choice and choices of forum.
Cate is currently a Magistrate in the South East and a member of the Family Panel. She has experience dealing with a variety of cases relating to parental disputes over arrangements for children contact and residence for children and aspects of domestic violence. She is also the Welfare officer for Tonbridge Athletics Club ensuring that England Athletics safeguarding and welfare standards are maintained in relation to coaching athletes.
