Lorna Buckwell

Lorna is a solicitor in the Court of Protection Team.

She has a BA (hons) degree in English and History, Post-Graduate Diploma in law (“PGDL”) and in 2005 she completed the Legal Practice Course (“LPC”) at BPP in London.  Lorna trained at Thomson Snell & Passmore LLP and qualified as a solicitor in 2007, joining the clinical negligence and personal injury team where she had a varied caseload representing injured clients throughout the litigation process to settlement.

From 2017 to 2022, Lorna gained experience in school governance: volunteering as a school governor (an ongoing role) including taking the chair for 4 years; working as a governance professional for a governing board of a local primary school; and for a local authority supporting clerks throughout East Sussex in the Governor and Clerking Service.

In 2022 Lorna returned to law as part of the Private Client team at Brachers LLP, focussing her practice on supporting elderly and vulnerable clients and Court of Protection matters.  She joined Warners’ Court of Protection team in July 2024.
