Richard advises Executors on the administration of estates and helps them to fulfil their duties to the beneficiaries of the estate and to H.M. Revenue & Customs. Richard also advises on how an estate can be restructured for inheritance tax planning purposes and provides assistance with capital gains tax planning during the administration period.
Richard helps clients to structure their affairs by advising on the preparation of their Wills to ensure that their wishes are implemented in a tax-efficient manner on death. He also assists clients to plan for the future by advising them in relation to Lasting Powers of Attorney and helps relatives to apply to the Court of Protection in cases where a Lasting Power of Attorney has not been put in place.
Richard trained and worked in two Kent firms after graduating in Law with Politics at the University of Manchester. He joined Warners in 2016 and became a partner in 2018.
