Ramblers, dog walkers, illegal campers, fly-grazers, fly-tippers, animal rights activists, country sports saboteurs – all can cause substantial problems for landowners and farmers.
Tim Ryan is a criminal and regulatory lawyer with many years of experience dealing with such issues. He will be speaking about some of the legal aspects relating to trespassers, including what you can do to protect your land and property rights effectively without incurring large legal bills, and what to do if you find yourself under investigation following an unfounded or malicious complaint.
Tim is a Partner at Warners Solicitors. Since 2006 he has specialised in defending those who live and work in the countryside facing investigation or prosecution for offences related in particular to wildlife, animal welfare, the countryside and country sports. He also acts in firearms licensing appeals.
We will also be welcoming a member of Kent Police’s rural crime team who will join us to answer your questions about rural crime in Kent and give an update on the success of Country Eye, an app which allows people to record and share information on crime and suspicious behaviour.
