Warners is celebrating another successful set of rankings in the well known guides to the legal profession, Chambers & Partners and Legal 500.
For the second time Warners’ agricultural team has behttps://www.warners-solicitors.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/Warners-Covid-19-Risk-Assessment-January-2021.pdfen ranked in Band 1 in both directories. Legal 500 reported that “Warners Solicitors is a professional, friendly firm whose staff are knowledgeable and trustworthy.” In Chambers & Partners, team leader, Steve Colville is described as “a very able practitioner and good to deal with. He knows his stuff.” Litigation expert, Michael McNally, is highlighted for having “excellent knowledge,” providing “practical advice” and being “quick to respond.” Tim Ryan is notable for specialising in rural crime and regulatory defence work. His broad caseload includes representing those accused of firearms, wildlife and animal welfare offences.
Once again Warners’ family team has been highly ranked in both directories with Chambers commending the team for its “hard-working, customer-focused and supportive approach.” Team leader Matthew Aves is described as “an experienced litigator as well as being a trained mediator, with particular experience in handling cohabitee disputes and Schedule 1 Children Act applications.” He is praised for his “strong, clear and thoughtful advice.”
Earlier in the year the private client team maintained its excellent ranking in the Chambers HNW Guide. One source said: “I think they’re very strong in this area of work in terms of delivering what they promise. I think they’re very friendly, personable and try to keep things as simple as possible, which is not always easy.” They come across as a very solid, established firm but one that’s also quite progressive; they’ve been around a long time but they’re not resting on their laurels.” Philip Raggett, Mary Shaw, Gail Hall and Richard Theobald were all highlighted as ‘Notable Practitioners’.
Legal 500 also ranked the team very highly and said “The ‘excellent’ team at Warners Solicitors provides a comprehensive private client service.” Gail Hall was noted for ‘having an extremely good way of dealing with clients and providing advice in a way that is clear and understandable’.
The Court of Protection team is ranked in the top band for the whole of the UK with, team leader, Martin Terrell being described as “compassionate, professional and an expert in his field.” He is a highly experienced practitioner who handles all aspects of Court of Protection work including financial abuse, asset recovery and family conflicts. Another client states: “I am continually impressed with his knowledge and measured approach to dealing with difficult situations.”
The real estate litigation team is picked out as being one of the best in the whole of the South. According to Chambers & Partners Robert Twining “doesn’t posture or waste time arguing meaningless points. He gets down to the heart of things quickly and sensibly.”
